Strivectin

StriVectin-SD is an "intensive concentrate for existing stretch marks" made by Klein-Becker USA. StriVectin-SD was originally test-marketed in a plain tube marked "topical cream". A curious phenomenon was observed when some people began using the StriVectin cream on their faces. Wrinkles and crow's feet seemed to fade away and disappear.

StriVectin's active ingredient is a patented oligo-peptide called Pal-KTTKS. In a series of studies presented at the July 2002 World Dermatology Conference in Paris, Pal-KTTKS was shown to be more effective than other therapies at reducing wrinkles on photo-aged skin.

A 6 oz. tube of StriVectin will last for about six months if used exclusively on facial wrinkles and from four to six weeks if used to reduce and remove abdominal stretch marks. The cost of one tube of StriVectin-SD is approximately $135. A smaller 1.3 oz tube of StriVectin-SD Eye Cream is also available and costs approximately $60.
